NATURAL GAS

During the late 1980's and early 1990's, I represented a group of natural gas producers, shippers and users (principally major oil companies), in the CPUC's many proceedings regarding the deregulation of the natural gas industry. This group was principally interested in obtaining firm capacity, and later brokered capacity, on interstate pipelines at a time when the California utilities were reluctant to release their firm rights. I also have negotiated a number of natural gas purchase agreements with independent suppliers and special transportation arrangements with utilities. In 1995, I represented a very large gas shipper and consumer in its efforts to reduce its firm capacity takes on SoCal Gas.
